Fabricated a sturdy base to hold the keel in place during construction.
Cutting out keel and bulkhead parts.
Dry fitting the bulkheads.
Adding planking termination blocks to the bow area.
Lower gun deck installed.
Barrel blocks installed along lower gun deck.
Upper gun deck camber beams installed.
Rear bulkhead c/w stern counter blocks added.
Walnut leading bow edge installed.
Walnut keel edges installed.
Installing the bow deck with plank termination blocks.
Bow deck finished with Tanganijka wood.
Upper gun deck installed.
Planking upper gun deck with Tanganijka wood.
Completed planking upper gun deck with Tanganijka wood and sealed. Now starting to plank the inner walls.
Dry-fitting upper deck and poop deck.
Inner walls of the upper gun deck planked and painted. Now installing the camber beams to support the main deck.
Main deck & poop deck pinned in place to facilitate sanding the hull in preparation for planking.
Port side bulwark pinned in place. Master plank installed. Now I can proceed with the first planking of the hull.
Foam used at the front bulkhead to aid with the plank bending at the bow. Next time I'm going to use balsa. Foam is too soft.
